1st - Mexborough Active Sports for Kids
(MASK)
This team of 3 young men from Mexborough in Doncaster worked with South Yorkshire Police, the local council and various sporting agencies. They offered sports related activities to the young people in their community in a safe and controlled environment.
The team were involved in arranging numerous sporting activities throughout the summer in an attempt to reduce the amount of anti-social behaviour in their area.
As part of their project the team took part and successfully completed Goal Keeping Courses, First Aid and Sports Leadership Courses.
These young men did a fantastic job and the police have noticed a reduction in complaints about young people causing a nuisance in the area.
